Type 14
Allentown, PA
Genre(s): , Rock - Alternative Rock, Rock - Metal/Alternative Metal
From the deepest, darkest core of mankind''''s collective unconscious emerges a musical brood of vipers ready to spread their venom amongst humanity. Powerful, aggressive, uncompromising, poignant yet poetic, the evil in the heart of man put to music. Type 14. Powerful words. Powerful band. Whether you like what they have to say or not, one listen will make you a believer in the power of their music. Jimi Hendrix once said "Music is a spiritual thing...you can use it to preach in to people''''s subconscious and make them believe whatever you want them to." He never heard Type 14, but what he said certainly applies to them. With respect and sometimes reverence for life''''s darker elements, Type 14 has quickly established themselves as a musical force to be reckoned with. Their lyrics address issues common to humankind dealing with pain, suffering, deception, and depression. Melancholy to the ear, yet cathartic to the soul, their music has been heralded as "Innovative and passionate...heavy and dark at times, yet easily accessible to the world at large. Definitely one of the best new bands out of Pennsylvania" (Out On The Town Magazine). Type 14 quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in their hometown of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Their commanding stage presence and high energy live show has caught the attention of many during performances with Mudvayne, Type O Negative, Sevendust, Dope, Cold, Mushroom Head, Oleander, Relative Ash, Primer 55, Isle of Q, W.A.S.P., Caroline Spine, Quiet Riot, Tesla, Lynch Mob, Ratt and many others. Jade Scott provides aggressive and melodic lead vocals along with complimentary guitar work Ray Cantoral provides searing guitar work and backup vocals and Chris Metzger and Frank Iafrate provide the aggressive drumming and bass needed to complete their modern, innovative sound. They have been well received everywhere they perform and few question whether or not they will succeed in the music world, they already are. Their professionalism and talent speak loudly enough. This is a band to look out for!
