Sean Byrd was first introduced to various forms of music by his family. Much of his inspiration comes from spending his early years watching obscure horror films, lending to his current abstract style.

He initially experimented with synthesizers, drum machines, and DJ equipment at age 11, and began composing music on Macintosh computers at age 16, using some of the first digital audio software available. While generally reclusive, he appeared occasionally mixing and producing in the NYC/Philadelphia area for DJ sets and radio appearances. The evolution of these interests into more intricate forms of electronic music are apparent in his current work.

While living in New Jersey, Denver, and Atlanta he developed his musical style, experimenting with sound design, moving more towards abstract downtempo and film score work. Sean''''s various self-released full length CD''''s under the alias elden magnetic, earned him a number of remix projects most of which are still floating around.

His solo compositions currently focus on everything from sophisticated, deep/minimal house to ambient and downtempo. Keep an eye out for Sean Byrd''''s releases on labels such as Iron Box Music, Intrinsic Design, Cobalt Recordings, and Stucco Records.
